Nightclubbiz.com takes it to the next level...
Here's a nightclub quiz for you… What promotion:
Imagine the possibilities…
Just how hot can we make you sound? Check out the following sample voice-overs
Access and management could never be easier… All the heavy lifting of your broadcast system is accomplished at the remote server side. You simply access and manage it through your DJ Booth laptop, or from anywhere you have Internet access. All pre-recorded music, announcements, and custom play lists reside on the ‘remote broadcast server’. Your live DJ broadcasts are also sent to the ‘remote broadcast server’ through your laptop. No expensive investment of hardware is required…
You are all familiar with these complaints... The lack of fresh, new promotional concepts for nightclubs and bars. What you often observe is sea of recycled promotional ideas, which are repackaged in every way imaginable. As a result, here are the following needs and complaints commonly observed:
Nightclubbiz.com Delivers...
The promotion that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week This nightclub promotion offers the best cost, to performance ratio. It works around the clock and you maintain 100% of the control over it. The promotion in this case is all about your brand, music, identity, and culture. In addition, your DJ's may perform extra shows during the week directly to your audience over your broadcast station, even if the club is not opened. Used correctly, you tie your audience to your brand 24 X 7!
But this could run into the many thousands of dollars per month! Not quite... Can your nightclub or bar sell at least 30 mixed drinks per month? LOL… Most of us sell that in under 15 minutes. All joking aside, if you can meet the 30-drink quota, then you can most certainly afford this system.
I need a promotional example with this system The possibilities are endless. But Ok… As one crude example, you start the rumor that a hot act, such as a DJ or live band (one your audience loves), "may" be appearing at the club… "may" being the operative term. All further details will be announced on your radio station… Now they must be tuned into your broadcast to receive official word. The more you keep it interesting, the more they tune in... The more you tie them to your brand 'outside' of the physical club.
As another example… For large clubs with VIP rooms and long lineups… You giveaway several slots in the VIP lounge, and or priority admittance to the first X number of callers. Winners are instructed to be at the club at a "specific" time to claim their prize… This way, those people are guaranteed to be there early.
Live call ins? How is this possible? Simple… One of your DJ's does a 'live' late Friday afternoon broadcast… Lineup some good party tunes… Promote the club… And instruct the listeners to call the promo number for inclusion into the VIP list… They call the club promotions number… Call is directed to one of your promotions staff… Winners are placed on the VIP list. You get the basic idea…
Not necessarily… He/she can run the broadcast from any location with a DSL or Cable connection -they don't need to be in the club. They fire up their laptop and preferred DJ interface, turn their mic on, and login to your broadcast server. They're now live…
We want exciting voice-overs promoting our club and station... is this possible? That's up to you. Your DJ's could do them, but if they're not comfortable on air, or do not have the technical know-how to make them sound exciting, Nightclubbiz.com can take care of this for you. We can have professional, exciting sounding voice-overs composed for you in under 30-miniutes in many cases, and for under $60. 30 and 60-second plugs are available. Want a sample of this talent? Listen to a few 'Stationing Image' Demos here. Now this is the voice you want for a nightclub event!
The systems run on a dedicated server. Your entire music library exists here, if you add one. You can create one or several stations, which are accessible to anywhere in the world. You control your music content, play lists, and weighting of various types of music styles through a web based interface.
Live broadcast capabilities: Your broadcast server provides 10 streams with total capacity of 300, to 1000 listeners. If you want to broadcast your club or event out to the Internet… You simply login to the DJ stream and send your broadcast to it. Again… Your live DJ stream displays full statistics on what was played… Who was listening, average duration of listening time and so forth.
What is the difference between radio broadcast and live broadcast? How would a listener tune in? The broadcast server provides 10 streams, or more if you require them. A stream is a station. Streams can be used as a dedicated radio broadcast where the server manages all music and play lists automatically, or… In Live Broadcast mode where you are sending your own live feed to the server. If you were operating several radio station streams and DJ's, you may configure them as follows:
Your live DJ Station would appear here as well. You can also enable an online status indicator, which displays whether your DJ is currently live or not. If your DJ's will be doing frequent shows throughout the week, you may setup a mailing list where you can send out a mass notification to all subscribers. Send your live broadcast link in your notification and your listeners may tune in immediately from home, work, their iPod, Black Berry, laptop, or any other device with web access.
You need a laptop in your DJ booth with a DSL or Cable connection. You take the live feed from your sound mixer (usually mains out) and send it to the (line in) on the laptop. Load up the free Shoutcast broadcast software on your laptop and enter the IP, username, and password of your relay server. That's it… Click connect and your broadcast is live. Not to worry, Nightclubbiz.com will help you with setting this up if required.
When the server is in radio broadcast mode, are 'dead air' spaces heard between each song? Only if you want them. If you enable 'Auto Fade', the server will fade your songs smoothly, one into the next. You can adjust fade time between songs and we've found that 6, to 7 seconds works best.
You upload them via FTP. Once uploaded, you open the 'Media Library' interface via your web browser. You'll see all your music in there… You may now create playlists and manage playback of your content however you'd like.
Nightclubbiz.com builds your server, configures it, updates it, and looks after all security. All you need to do is login to the web interface to manage your playlists, music rotation, DJ Streams, etc.
What do you mean by a 'dedicated' server? Means you're not sharing it with 300, to 400 neighbors. 100% of the resources are yours. You do not share bandwidth either… Your server is on a private VLAN with fully dedicated 100 Mbps service. Streaming /broadcasting applications are intensive, so to keep them happy… Share with no one.
Do I need a broadcast permit? If you're broadcasting copyrighted music in the U.S., you're supposed to be using an Internet broadcast permit. We make this easy... You don't need to apply for anything… A couple of 3rd party Internet Broadcast pools now exist. Starting at $34.00 a month, your fees to ascap, Soundstage, and BMI are covered.
I'd like to share this server with another entity needing the same service… Is this possible. The servers we build pack a tremendous amount of power, so yes, you could comfortably share with 3 to 4 neighbors without any performance hit. The only thing you need to make sure of is that there is enough monthly bandwidth for all of you. Adding additional bandwidth is not a big cost.
Can I sell streams from my server to other DJ's? Yes. When you configure an account for other DJ's, they receive a private login to manage their own stream. You set the amount of drive space they can use and you also control the amount of bandwidth they are entitled to each month in the master administration panel.
What network providers are you using? Premium providers of course. Level 3, Savvis, Global Crossing, XO, and under certain circumstances, Cogent.
Do you provide support? Yes, however we build our servers for reliability and performance. Once you're all setup, it's unlikely you'll be encountering any problems, but if you do, we're here.
What else can I do with my own dedicated server? Anything… Build a website, a custom blog, discussion forum, and more. Use the server as a means to further establish /promote your brand. If you want us to install a discussion forum, or other types of interactive web systems, there is a fee for the installation and configuration of these systems. Programs such as these can take considerable time to get fully configured, customized, and operational.
What servers are you using? Most of our servers are Dell Poweredges running dual Intel Xeon processors, 4 gigs of ram and 10,000 RPM SCSI drives. Yes, these are very fast machines!
How much does this cost? $849.00 for building the dedicated server and customizing it. This is a lot of work, however the final product is a *dedicated* Internet broadcast station that YOU own and YOU control. Monthly fee can be anywhere from $199.00, to $279.00 a month, depending on what type of bandwidth you require. For the majority of you, the $199.00 option will be sufficient.
